OCEAN OR CENOTE?

  • OCEAN DIVING

Surrounded by the mexican caribbean having a huge variety of reefs that are part of the mesoamerican barrier reef, from shallow reef to deep ones and one artificial reef (shipwreck) is one of the most popular places in the world to get trained from beginners to professional levels or just to enjoy the diving. Temperature of the water oscillates from 27 C to 31 C and a visibility that makes the Caribbean famous for it. Also large fauna diversity that will make you wanna come back. On top of that we have the bull shark migration, passing by every winter allowing our visitors to meet these majestic animals in unique conditions and proximity. Dive Sites with moderate current to very strong, allows you to enjoy a unique experience flowing with the current tru mesmerizing reefs full with life. Wetsuits are optional due the temperature of the water. Meeting at 8 am at D.D. to get down to the beach around 8:30 once we have tried gear and fill up paperwork. Will take you to a deep site followed by a shallower reef with a surface interval on the boat in between.

  • CENOTE DIVING

Cenotes are submerged cave systems under crystal-clear water which offers us the surreal light effects and rooms decorated with rock formations like stalactites and stalagmites. Millions of years have passed in order to make this possible. These dives are a “must do!” The Yucatan Peninsula is one of the few places in the world with accessible cenotes to dive as well as the greatest variety of cenotes to explore. This adventure starts at 8:30 am at the dive shop where we hit the road to visit the cenotes. The dive ranges from 30 minutes to a little over an hour depending on the cenote. Some cenotes have one “line” or dive to do whereas others are large enough to have two different “lines”/dives in the same cenote (the famous Dos Ojos is an example of this!). Since we have so much cenote diversity in the area, we can choose the cenotes based on your level of dive experience, interest, & more.
